At Bicycle Theory, we build and maintain Brand Bicycles™ for an ever-changing marketing landscape.
Bicycle Theory is an award-winning graphic design, Web development, and brand strategy company based in the Northeast Minneapolis Arts District. We are dedicated to helping our clients overcome their brand and marketing challenges by helping them build and maintain a better Brand Bicycle™.
Founded in 2001, we have spent the past 10+ years developing enduring relationships with Minnesota brands and non-profit organizations in need of a trusted partner. And we’re particularly fond of bicycles.
We are a small group with big capabilities.
We support local and national clients of all shapes and sizes by building trusted relationships. Trust allows us to build confidence. And confidence allows us to build brands.
Our size allows us to be very hands-on with our clients, attending their unique and specific needs. Our clients work directly with the same dedicated team from start to finish. And they always have direct access to our Principals.
Our smaller size also has other advantages, such as quality control and responsiveness. Even though we have the same capabilities as much bigger companies, our end product is generally tighter. And while our bigger competitors may have more resources to throw at a challenge, we’ve developed innovative tools and fierce efficiencies that allow us to be faster and more responsive.

Bicycle Theory is a ‘start small’ company. We understand that big, undefined ideas often overwhelm the success of a project, while also wasting a lot of time and money. That’s why we encourage our clients to start by focusing on needs and then addressing wants over time. This helps them get into the race sooner and with less expense, but also affords them the opportunity to adjust their strategy based on actual audience response and course feedback.
